Just a quick note on a change to the schedule. To accommodate those playing bean bag baseball we’re going to move the pig races from 1:00 to 3:00. This should give everyone time to enjoy both activities!

The fun and heat start this week!
I am sure you have all heard that it is going to be hot during the Rally; we want to make sure everyone is safe. There are some things you can do to try and stay cool. Please bring umbrellas, canopies, misters, cooling cloths for your neck, wear a hat, use sunscreen, dress appropriately and drink plenty of water.
Pet safety: Do NOT walk your pet on the hot asphalt, this will burn their feet. Keep them cool and hydrated and in the shade.
Stay cool and most important let’s HAVE SOME FUN!!!
Thank you to Jaime from Fullerton for these tips!
Tips to stay safe in the summer heat:
- Drink plenty of water before, during and after the event.
- Eat a meal before drinking alcohol. Having food in your stomach will help slow the absorption of alcohol.
- Eat hydrating foods. This includes fresh fruits and vegetables, such as salad, watermelon or fruit Popsicles with little to no added sugar.
- Alternate alcoholic beverages with water. For every adult beverage you have, drink an 8- to 12-ounce glass of water.
- Limit caffeinated drinks. Most caffeinated drinks are diuretics, meaning they cause the body to lose water. This includes caffeinated soda, certain teas, energy drinks and coffee. Stick to decaf or water instead.

The ever popular Bean Bag Baseball is back again! Contact Teri Schultz by email at spddmnss@hotmail.com to register, they need all the teams to pre-register so they create the brackets. Teams consist of 6-10 players and the game will be played on Friday.
